The chain reaction is gaining momentum: The “Brevet Self-Help Group” led by Olaf Storbeck, in collaboration with ARA Mittelhessen, is organizing the 300km Two Peaks Frankfurt Brevet on Easter Saturday, April 19, in Frankfurt.

In solidarity with Frankfurt’s partner city Lviv, the Two Peaks Brevet aims to raise enough donations to fund an ambulance for Ukraine.

The brevet starts at the birthplace of German democracy, the Paulskirche. From there, it follows a medieval trade route leading to Kyiv and passes by the former westernmost point of the Warsaw Pact at “Point Alpha” near Geisa in Thuringia, located in the UNESCO Rhön Biosphere Reserve. The route continues along a section of the Iron Curtain Trail and through the “Fulda Gap,” where NATO once anticipated a potential tank offensive by the Warsaw Pact during wartime.
